Nop

By author/illustrator Caroline Magerl, Nop is a pure piece of whimsy. The pen and wash drawings are light and flowing and delicately layered. It takes several reads to appreciate how complex they actually are. The book design is superb. This is a poetic picture book which will encourage an appreciation of lyrical language in children. It makes a nice change from purely narrative storytelling and the ending is very sweet. A book to treasure.
