This picture book is such a favourite in this house, even though I'm not a dog lover (cats rock). The illustrations are both easily recognisable and great caricatures at the same time. A perfect book for toddlers, as it covers the gamut of dog breeds in a funny and quirky way. Also, the preschool concepts of opposites are deftly worked into the simple text. Small children will especially love the surprise ending. This could almost be a wordless picture book it is so good and it will make you smile as you read it. Emily Gravett is an outstanding author/illustrator.
