Elly the Elephant

The Chimpanzees of Happytown

The absolute favourite book of the youngest boy in the house when he was small. Positively popping with colour, this is a book about joy and what happens when we lose it or never had it in the first place. Not new, it was published in 2006, yet it seems very relevant now after a year of so much colour being drained from our world. There are a lot of subtle messages to be explored, but it is funny and simple and children get it immediately. Because children innately know how to love, celebrate and live in the moment.
